The 1999 Awards
The British Independent Film Awards returned to the Café Royal on the evening of 14th October for its second presentation ceremony. The evening was generously sponsored by Rover Cars, hosted by John Gordon Sinclair, and attended by 450 guests. With guests including Diana Ross, Anjelica Huston, Saffron Burrows, Ray Winstone and Lee Evans, the Awards established itself as one of the most entertaining and exciting British film events.
